Between sea and country

Fort Lalatte

The fort dating back to the Middle Ages is 5 kilometers to the east of Cap Fréhel.. The round donjon (or 'keep') stands up amidst the ramparts (or 'city walls').

Notwithstanding restaurations in the 17th century, it remains sober and impressive, the red colour standing out from the blue sea.

Two steep precipices, , crossed by two bridges, separate the fortress from land.
